Descripción
Though the famed artist and son of a blind hermit Satyavan is fated to die young, beautiful Savitiri -- who was gotten through the divine intervention of the god Ashwapati -- marries him anyway and soon gave birth to Yama, the god of death. When Satyavan does was about to die, Savitiri beseeches her son to not only resurrect her husband, but also to restore the eyesight of her father-in-law.
