Give To Live" by Karnamrita Das is quite a unique gem! The body of the book contains blogs which were written at various times in a casual, friendly tone. It is a "spoken" tone in which the author is welcoming and appears to be speaking with the reader one-on-one. It takes a potentially complex subject and makes it accessible to all, those completely unfamiliar with the topic and those well-versed in it as well. This book is a wealth of information, and it's format is such that one can either skip around to different blogs or read it cover to cover. It is also easy to put down, in today's busy world, and pick up again due its content of stories. Some blogs are informative; some are touching---so much so that I actually cried; and some are highly personal. It is the author's journey in Krishna Consciousness, his successes and his failures, and he bares his soul with grace and with humor. His humility and loving-kindness shine through the pages, and any reader will be touched by the forthrightness of these tales.
I enjoyed "Give to Live" immensely. It has helped me in my spiritual journey and in daily life in the material world. I have no doubt that others will take great pleasure in, and learn much from, reading this book. There is so much substantial 'food for thought' within its covers. (Posted on 10/20/12)
